In light of directives issued by Govt of Goa yesterday late evening, regarding banning of all the Religious, Social and Cultural Congregations till 30 th April 2021, the Tiatr Day Celebration Programme jointly organised by Kala Academy Goa, Tiatr Academy
Goa & Institute Menezes Braganza scheduled to be held on Friday, 23 rd April 2021 at Institute Menezes Braganza is cancelled. The fresh date will be declared by the organisers at a later stage.
All the prize winners of Tiatr ‘A’ & ‘B’ Group Competition of Kala Academy, Felicitants selected by Kala Academy Goa for life time contribution honour, Guests of Honour, General Public and Tiatr Lovers are requested to note the cancellation of the programme on Friday, 23 rd April 2021 at Institute Menezes Braganza.
All the stake holders of the programme are requested to note the postponement of the programme.
Applications are invited by the Member Secretary, Kala Academy Goa in the format available and to be collected from the office of Kala Academy Goa during working days (Monday to Friday) between 10.00 a.m to 1.00 p.m and 2.00 p.m to 5.30 p.m. for the post of Technical Assistant (Air-conditioning & Refrigeration) and Multi Tasking Staff.
The applications should reach the office of Kala Academy Goa latest by 05/04/2021.
Click here to view Result of Marathi Drama “B” Group Competition(2020-21) which is held on 22nd February to 16th March 2021 at Manoharbuva Shirgaonkar Sabhagruha, Ravindra Bhavan Sakhali.
The results of the Marathi Drama Competition ‘B’ Group organized by Kala Academy from 22nd Feb to 16th March 2021 at Ravindra Bhavan, Sakhali have been declared and accordingly “Arya Chanakya ” staged by Om Kala Saunskrutik Kendra, Halarn-Pedne have been awarded the first prize of Rs 50,000/-. “Queens Chamber” staged by Suyog Kala Manch, Karmali and “Question Mark” staged by Aasth Creation, Pilgao-Bicholim have won second and third Prizes of Rs 40,000/- and Rs 30,000/ respectively. The Consolation prize of Rs. 20,000/- were awarded to “Aakashmithi” staged by Natyasampada-Goa, Nagzar-Pernem.
The first prize for best direction is awarded to Nilesh Mohan Naik for the drama “Arya Chanakya”, Shri. Suraj Haldonkar for the drama “Queens Chamber” and Shri. Gautam Anant Gaude for the drama “Question Mark” have bagged second and third prize respectively for the best direction.
The first prize for best acting in male category was bagged by Makarand Parab for the role of Chanakya in the drama “Arya Chanakya whereas the second prize was awarded to Shri. Mohinish Vernekar for the role of Dr. Sudesh in the drama “Queens Chamber”. The merit certificates of acting (male) have been awarded to Gautam Anant Gaude – Shesh (Question Mark), Pranav Kotibhaskar – Sarjerao (Amaldaar), Chandreshekar Gawas – Shivaji (Akashmiti), Mandar Parab– Baji (Karin ti Purv), Bhalchandra Usgaonkar – Shivaji Maharaj(Shiv Alingan), Hemant Shambhu Naik – Kunvarji Shirke (Shikka Katyar) & Narayan Bhatvadekar – Shrimant Narayanrao Peshwe (‘Dha’ Cha ‘Ma’).
The first prize for best acting in female category was awarded to Kum. Shradha Dhond for the role of Yesubai in the drama “Ithe Oshalala Mrutyu” whereas the second prize in acting was bagged by Shilpa Sakhalkar for the role of Anandibai in the drama ‘Dha Cha Ma’. The merit certificates of acting (Female) have been bagged by Aishwarya Nayar – Raksha (Question Mark), Prathama Mahale – Savita (Queens Chamber), Vibha Vaze – Jijabai (Akashmiti), Smt. Akshada Shetkar – Gajara (Karin ti Purva), Smt. Nivedita Chandroji Punekar – Maisaheb (Ammaldaar) & Sharada Shetkar– rajkunvar (Shikka Katyar).
The best stage set up award was bagged by Maheshwar Parab for the Drama “Arya Chanakya,” whereas the merit certificate for stage set up was awarded to Kapil Chari for the drama “Queens Chamber”.
The best light effect award was secured by Gaurav Barve for the drama “Arya Chanakya” and the merit certificate was given to Vaibhav Naik for drama “Queens Chamber”.
The best costume award was awarded to Roshan Parab for the drama “Arya Chanakya” and the merit certificate was bagged by Smt. Vidhya Parit for “Ithe Oshalala Mrutyu”.
The best background music award was given to Nilesh Mohan Naik for “Arya Chanakya” whereas merit certificate was awarded to Pandurang Naik for “Ithe Oshalala Mrutyu”.
The best make-up award was awarded to Sajro Shetgaonkar for “Arya Chanakya” and the merit certificate was bagged by Dilip Mandrekar for “Akashmiti”.
The total number of entries received were 16 out of which only 12 plays were staged in this competition. The panel of judges consisting of Shri. Devidas Amonkar, Shri. Devanand Malvankar & Shri. Sandeep Dayanand Fadte judged the competition. Kala Academy has congratulated all the prize winners and the prize distribution of this competition and other drama competitions of Kala Academy will be declared at later stage. All are requested to make a note of the same.
The results of the 6th Tiatr Competition ‘B’ Group organized by Kala Academy from 1st March to 7th March 2021 at Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem have been declared and accordingly Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank” staged by Matias Creative Group, Calangute have been awarded the first prize. Tiatr “Udkantlo Ujeant” staged by Machi Mogi, Santa Cruz and Tiatr “Lucky Tum” staged by Drishti Entertainments, Curchorem have won second and third Prizes respectively. The Consolation prize was awarded to Tiatr “Kru Vo Baullo” staged by Goa Velha Art & Cultural Association, Goa Velha.

Ashwin De Souza for the role of Gospar Irmau in the Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank” whereas the second prize was awarded to Shri. Eleuterio S D’Costa for the role of George in the Tiatr “Lucky Tum”. The merit certificates of acting (male) have been awarded to Shri. Prakash Marathe – (Allen) (Udkantlo Ujeant), Shri. Nitin Naik –(Xek Mulla) (Udkantlo Ujeant), Shri. Agnelo X.R. Furtado (Shivappa) (Kru Vo Baullo), Shri. Michael D’Costa (Grandfather) (Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem), Shri. Efifanio Mendes (Samson) (Kru Vo Baullo).
The first prize for best acting in female category was awarded to Colisha D’Silva for the role of Eliz in the Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank” ” whereas the second prize in acting was bagged by Alina Simoes for the role of Suzana in the Tiatr “Lucky Tum”. The merit certificates of acting (Female) have been bagged by Felecina Pereira (Rosita) (Kru Vo Baullo), Kevia Fernandes (Fatima) (Udkantlo Ujeant), Melinda D’Cunha (Tina) (Lucky Tum), Pricella Mascarenhas (Grandmother) (Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem).
The Best Negative Role first prize was awarded to Danny Cardoso for the role of (PI) in Tiatr “Udkantlo Ujeant” and the second prize was bagged by Sonia Diniz for the role of Stacey in the Tiatr “Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem”. The merit certificates for negative role was awarded to Wellyester Mendes (Rajnikanta) (Kru Vo Baullo) and Delisha Rebeiro (Ena) (Lucky Tum).
The Best Comedian Male award was bagged by Natolino Vales for the role of Gerson in Tiatr “Lucky Tum”. The merit certificates for comedian male was awarded to Sijoy B. Coelho(Merguliao) Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank” Jimmy Cardozo (Jimmy) (Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem), Matias Mascarenhas (Bostiao) (Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank) & Savio Vaz (Paulu) (Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank).
The Best Comedian Female award was awarded to Sunshine Fernandes for the role of Cosao in Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank”. The merit certificates doe comedian female was bagged by Abigail De Souza (Istimosao) (Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank), Reema Pereira (Simmi) (Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem) & Rita Pinto (Salvosao) (Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank).
The Best Child Artist in male category was bagged by Roneber Vales for the role of Ronnie in the Tiatr “Lucky Tum”.
The Best Child Artist in female category was awarded to Laneesa Mascarenhas for the role of Swizel for the tiatr “Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem”.
The first prize for best direction was awarded to Matias Mascarenhas for Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank”. The second and third prize was bagged by Jayendranath Haldankar for Tiatr “Udkantlo Ujeant” and Agnelo X.R. Furtado for Tiatr “Kru Vo Baullo” respectively.
The best stage set up award was bagged by Kapil Chari for Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank”. The merit certificate for stage set up was awarded to Alfredo Mendes for Tiatr “Kru Vo Baullo” .

The best music band award was bagged by Senon Silvestre De Souza, Nolvert Clifford Cota, Joao Rosario Fernandes, James Martinho Vaz & Franoy James Gomes for “Kru Vo Baullo” and the merit certificate for music band was bagged by Selvyn Braganca, Roy Menezes, Nevil Cardozo, Leander Mascarenhas & Louis Mascarenhas for Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank”.
The best make-up award for awarded to Namiket Salgaonkar for Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank” and the merit certificate for make-up was bagged by Sagar Haldankar for Tiatr “ Udkantlo Ujeant”.
The best costume award was awarded to Kevia Fernandes for “Udkantlo Ujeant” and the merit certificate for costume award was bagged by Irene de Souza for Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank”.
The best background music award was given to Raunak Gurav for “Kru Vo Baullo” whereas merit certificate for background music award was bagged by Louis Mascarenhas for Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank”.
The first and the second prize for best singer male (solo) award was awarded to Alias Fernandes for “Lucky Tum” and Boanerges Alvim for “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank” respectively. The merit certificates for singer male (solo) was bagged by Maythan Barretto for “Udkantlo Ujeant”, Rons Tavares for “Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem” Caziton Fernandes for “Lucky Tumi”, Leslie Pereira for “Lucky Tum”, and Shawn Siqueira for “ Lucky Tum”.

The best prize for child singer male(solo) was bagged by Figo Fernandes for “Kru Vo Baulo”.
The best prize for child singer female (solo) was awarded to Maryana Furtado for “Kru Vo Baullo” and the merit certificates for child singer female (solo) was bagged by Linoshka Mascarenhas for “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank”, Amber Lourenco for “Udkantlo Ujeant” and Laneesa Mascarenhas for Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem”.

The merit certificate for lyrics was awarded to Alias Fernandes for lyrics “Dhormank Okhman” for Tiatr “Lucky Tum”, Anthony Barretto (Tony De Ribandar) for Tiatr “Udkantlo Ujeant”, Rons Tavares for Tiatr “Ghodpachem Ghoddtelem”, Salvador Silveira for “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank” and Efifanio Mendes for Tiatr “Kru Vo Baullo”.
The first prize for the best script was awarded to Matias Mascarenhas for Tiatr “Apun Apnank, Dev Somestank”. The second prize was bagged by William Fernandes for Tiatr “Lucky Tum”.
Total 6 institutions participated in the competition. The judges who judged the competition were Shri. Piedade Fernandes, Shri. Michael Jude Gracias & Fr. Olavo Caiado. The lyrics and script were judged by Shri. Marcos Gonsalves.
Kala Academy has congratulated all the prize winners. The prize distribution of this competition will be declared at later stage. All are requested to make a note of the same.
