The results of the 8th Tiatr Competition ‘B’ Group organized by Kala Academy from 4th Oct to 17th Oct 2022 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, have been declared and accordingly Tiatr “AMCHO EKVOT” staged by Rock Felicio Music Academy, Ponda have been awarded the first prize. Tiatr “DEV VO DEVCHAR” staged by Dramatic Troupe of Ribandar and Tiatr “Ek DIS. EK GODDI, DEV TUJO DHONIM ” staged by J J Productions, Santa Cruz have won second and third Prizes respectively. The Consolation prize was awarded to Tiatr “RODDNNEM” staged by Cuncolim Art & Cultural Association, Cuncolim.
The first prize for best acting in male category was bagged by Shri. Cancio Dias for the role of Cancio in the Tiatr “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim” whereas the second prize was awarded to Henzil Cardoz for the role of Joyden in the Tiatr “Dev Vo Devchar”. The merit certificates of acting (male) have been awarded to Shri. Leandro Antonio Da Silva (Anthony)) (Amcho Ekvot), Shri. Filipe Norman Fernandes –(Justin) (Roddnnem), Shri. Ladu G. chari (Keshav) (Amcho Ekvot).
The first prize for best acting in female category was awarded to Merlyn Rodrigues for the role of Mercy in the Tiatr “Dev Vo Devchar ” whereas the second prize in acting was bagged by Jasmine Rodrigues for the role of Netty in the Tiatr “Roddnnem”. The merit certificates of acting (Female) have been bagged by Antonet De Souza (Sinetra) (Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tuzo Dhonim), Natasha Pereira (Tracy) (Amcho Ekvot), Ciena Furtado (Dr. Joycee) (Dev Vo Devchar).
The Best Negative Role first prize was awarded to Eleuterio S Da Costa for the role of (Patrao) in Tiatr “Amcho Ekvot” and the second prize was bagged by Roana Zenia Dalala Pereira for the role of Swizel in the Tiatr “Amcho Ekvot”.
The Best Comedian Male award was bagged by Walter Rebello for the role of Miglu in Tiatr “Munxeak Mortoch Valor”. The merit certificates for comedian male was awarded to Aryton Menezes (Fidelis Police) (Dev Vo Devchar).
The Best Comedian Female award was bagged to Wesey D’Souza for the role of Bostian in Tiatr “Roddnnem. The merit certificates for comedian female was bagged by Laneesa Mascarenhas (Catherine) (Amcho Ekvot), Richa Fernandes (Joana) (Dev Vo Devchar).
The Best Child Artist in female category was awarded to Jaslyn Grace Dias for the role of Charmine for the tiatr “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim”.
The first prize for best direction was awarded to Ajay Phadte for Tiatr “Amcho Ekvot”. The second and third prize was bagged by J.L. Diogo Fernandes for Tiatr “Dev Vo Devchar” and Michael Victor Dias for Tiatr “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim” respectively.
The best stage set up award was bagged by Mauris Marian Goes for Tiatr “Amcho Ekvot”. The merit certificate for stage set up was awarded to Francisco Xavier Pereira for Tiatr “Roddnnem” .
The best light effect award was secured by Jaison Steven Dias for Tiatr “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim” and the merit certificate for light effect was given to Vaibhav Naik for Tiatr “Dev Vo Devchar”.
The best music band award was bagged by Selvyn J.C. Braganza, Theodore Alvares, Joaquim Rebelo, James Vaz and Jos Monteiro for “Munxeak Mortoch Valor ”.
The best make-up award for awarded to Sejal S. Pagui for Tiatr “Amcho Ekvot”.
The best costume award was awarded to Maria Sandra Do Rozario Souza for “Amcho Ekvot ” and the merit certificate for costume award was bagged by M. Apolina R. Dias for Tiatr “Dev Vo Devchar ”.
The best background music award was given to Clint Fernandes for Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim” whereas merit certificate for background music award was bagged by Vijay Kamble for “ Dev Vo Devchar”.
The first and the second prize for best singer male (solo) award was awarded to Franco Fernandes for Tiatr “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim” and Selvin Fernandes for Tiatr “ Munxeak Mortoch Valor” respectively. The merit certificate for singer male (solo) was bagged by Filipe Norman Fernandes for “Roddnnem”.
The first prize for best singer female (solo) was bagged by Shania Diana Silveira for Tiatr “Munxeak Mortoch Valor” and the second prize was bagged by Savannah Mascarenhas for Tiatr “Amcho Ekvot”. The merit certificates for singer female (solo) was bagged by Lavina Fernandes for “Roddnnem” and Charmaine Fernandes for “Dev Vo Devchar”.
The best prize for comedy solo male was awarded to Valerian Fernandes for tiatr “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim” and the merit certificate for comedy solo male was bagged by Agnelo Silveira for “Dev Vo Devchar”.
The best prize for child singer male(solo) was bagged by Luis Rodrigues for “Dev Vo Devchar”.
The best prize for child singer female (solo) was awarded to Aashira Chinchankar for “Munxeak Mortoch Valor ” and the merit certificate for child singer female (solo) was bagged by Staslee Fernandes for “Roddnnem”.
The Best Choral Cantar Singing award was bagged by Merlyn Rodrgiues, Ciena Furtado, Juvina Vaz & Jovienne Fernandes for Tiatr “Dev Vo Devchar”. The merit certificates for Choral Cantar Singing was awarded to Mandira M. Phal Dessai, Jena Leitao, Lavina Fernandes & Lellis Gracias for “Roddnnem”.
The best Duet award was bagged by Sherwin Fernandes and Jensina Pereira for “Roddnnem”. The merit certificates for Duet was awarded to Mandira M. Phal Dessai and Noel D’ Souza for “Roddnnem”.
The Best Duo award was awarded to Felicina Pereira and Shania Diana Silveira for “Munxeak Mortoch Valor ”. The merit certificates for Duo was bagged by Savannah Mascarenhas & Laneesa Mascarenhas for “Amcho Ekvot”, Richa Fernandes & Charmaine Fernandes for “Dev Vo Devchar”, Sterry Colaco & Noel D’Souza for “Roddnnem”.
The Best trio award was bagged by Flannan Pereira, Sam Braganza & Valerian Fernandes for “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim”. The merit certificates for Trio was awarded to Lino Fernandes, Luis Xavier Mascarenhas & Precella Mascarenhas for “Amcho Ekvot”.
The Best Quartet award was awarded to Franco Estrocio, Joylin Barbosa, Liza Sequeira and Sadira Fernandes for “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim”. The merit certificates for Quartet was bagged by Roana Zenia Dalala Pereira, Elsica Pilar, Vinnia Pilar and Precella Mascarenhas for “ Amcho Ekvot”.
The Best lyrics award was bagged by Hortencio Pereira for lyrics biatin for Tiatr “Roddnnem”. The merit certificate for lyrics was awarded to Seby Pereira for Tiatr “Roddnnem”, Bernad Sequeira for Tiatr “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim”, Austin Socorro Rodrigues for Tiatr “ Dev Vo Devchar”, Luis Xavier Mascarenhas for Tiatr “ Amcho Ekvot”.
The first prize for the best script was awarded to Tom Crossby A. Dias for Tiatr “Roddnnem”. The second prize was bagged by Antonet De Sousa for Tiatr “Ek Dis. Ek Goddi, Dev Tujo Dhonim”.
Total 5 institutions participated in the competition. The judges who judged the competition were Shri. Agnelo Fernandes, Shri. Ben Evangelisto and Shri. Vasudev Chopdekar. The lyrics and script were judged by Fr. Savio Costa.
Kala Academy has congratulated all the prize winners. The prize distribution of this competition will be declared at later stage. All are requested to make a note of the same.
