Kala Academy Goa in collaboration with Department of Information and Publicity, Govt of Goa is organising  ‘Sham-e-Gazal’ – a programme of Hindi Gazals on 26^th January 2021 from 6.00 p.m onwards at the Mini Open Air, near Green Lawns of Kala Academy. to mark the celebration  of  Republic Day.

The programme is conceptualised &  co-ordinated by well known Goan Gazal Singer, Shri. Vishnu alias Ajay Naik who is also the music arranger of this programme. Rajavi Naik & Vibha Alangudi. The Instrumental Accompanist for the programme will be provided by Suresh Ghadi (Keyboard),Rohit Bandodkar(Tabla), Ajit Phadte (Side rhythm and Dolaki), Satan Carvalho (Octopad), Jefry D’souza (Guitar), Sameer Malashi (Harmonium) and Dr Lata Naik will compere the programme.

The Gazal form which came in the Hindi Literature through Urdu became very popular through medium of Films. Gazal has become a inseparable part of many Indian Languages. Singers like Ghulam Ali, Pankaj Udhas, Jagjit Singh, and Begum Aktar are some prominent names who are instrumental in popularising Gazals amongst music lovers.  The Programme ‘Sham-e-Gazal’ will include some of the popular hindi film Gazals and will be presented by Shri Ajay Naik, Rajavi Naik & Vibha Alangudi.

All the music lovers and connoisseurs are requested to take note of the  above and attend the same by strictly adhering to all the prevalent Standard Operating Procedure guidelines of Covid-19, such as wearing of face mask, maintaining adequate social distancing etc.

Kala Academy Goa has invited entries from last year’s eligible institutions namely Alfi Art Production, Divar, Novim Pavlam-Novo Uzvadd Dramatic Troupe, Shiroda, Dramatic Troupe of Ribandar,Goa, Ami Daizi, Fatorda, Sao Bartolomeu Sports Club and Cultural Association, Chorao, Machi Mogi Morjim Cultural Sanskrutic Saunstha, Morjim, Taleigao Dramatic Troupe, Taleigao, Kala Mogi, Candolim, St. Domnic Dramatic Troup, Merces, Aamar P. Sawanth Fan Club, Varca, Menino Jesus Kala Association, Chinchinim, Britona Dramatic Academy, Britona, for participation in the 46 th Tiatr ‘A’ Group Competition (2020-21) as Kala Academy has decided to retain the participating institution of Tiatr ‘A’ for this year also.

The last date for submission of entries in the prescribed format so as to reach KalaAcademy is latest by 27 th January 2021 before 4.00 p.m. The competition will commence from 10 th March 2021. Copy of revised rules and regulations along with entry forms are available in the Programme & Development Section of Kala Academy during office hours The entries will be accepted from 10.00 a.m to 1.00 p.m and from 2.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m excluding holidays. The participating institutions will have to compulsorily attach registration/renewal certificate as the case may be, along with the entry form as required under rules of Societies Registration Act, Sub Section (2) of Section 3 B of the Act 1860 (Central Act, 21 of 1860). All the above named institutions may, therefore, take note of the same to avoid last minute inconvenience for submission of their entries.

The duly filled in entry forms along with the cash remittance of entry fee of Rs. 500/- and security deposit of Rs. 5,000/- will be accepted latest by 4.00 p.m. till the stipulated last date for receipt of entries. Only those institutions withdrawing within the stipulated 5 days will be eligible for refund of their Security Deposit. The draw to decide sequence of performance by lots will be taken on 27 th January 2021 at 5.00 p.m. at the meeting room of K.A. Kala Academy reserves the right to accept and reject the entries in the final programme, from above named, institutions provided they are not fitting in the competition’s rules & regulations. Kala Academy has therefore, appealed to the Tiatr institutions to note the schedule for submission of entries for the competition and submit the same on or before 27 th January 2021 latest by 4.00 p.m.

The last date for submission of entry forms for the Tiatr ‘B’ Group Competition 2020 of Kala Academy is 18^th January 2021 by 4.00 p.m.

The entry forms along with copy of rules & regulations are available in the Programme & Development Section of Kala Academy during office hours on working days from 9.30 a.m to 1.15 p.m and 2.00 p.m to 5.45 p.m . Entry Fee of Rs. 500/- and Security Deposit of Rs. 5,000/- by cash remittance only will be accepted at Kala Academy from 10.00 a.m to 1.00 p.m and from 2.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m on working days. The entry forms should be compulsorily accompanied by registration /renewal certificate of the institution  as the case may be, as required under Societies Registration Act, 1860.

Since the Tiatr ‘B’ Group Competition was not held in 2019-20, there is no elevation of first 3 ranked groups  from ‘B’ Group Competition to the Tiatr ‘A’ Group Competition to be held in 2020-21. As such, the last ranked 3 groups of Tiatr ‘A’ Group Competition held in 2019-20 have been retained to participate in this year’s (2020-21) ‘A’ Group Competition, which will be declared shortly. This may be noted by all the participating groups of Tiatr ‘B’ & ‘A’ Group Competition to be held this year (2020-21).

All the registered institutions may, therefore, take note of the same to avoid last minute inconvenience for submission of their entries.

Inviting Entries in Marathi Drama B Group Competition

Kala Academy Goa has invited entries from interested Tiatr Groups for participation in the 6^th Tiatr ‘B’ Group Competition which is to be held at Ravindra Bhavan, Curchorem from 22^nd February onwards.. The last date for submission of entry forms for the Tiatr ‘B’ Group Competition is 18^th January 2021  by 4.00 p.m. The entry forms will be available in the Programme & Development Section of Kala Academy during office hours on working days w.e f from 11^th January 2021  for interested groups.

The duly filled in entry forms along with the cash remittance of entry fee Rs. 500/- and security deposit Rs. 5,000/- will be accepted latest by 4.00 p.m. till the stipulated last date for receipt of entries. The cash timings are 10.00 a.m to 1.15 p.m and 2.00 p.m to 4.00 p.m on all working days. The participating institutions are also required to submit their valid registration/ renewal certificate compulsorily along with the entry form failing which entries will not be accepted. The draw to decide sequence of performance by lots will be taken on  18^th January 2021  at 5.00 p.m. at the meeting room of Kala Academy.
