Press Note of Children Drawing Competition

The Children Painting/Drawing Competition of Kala Academy at State Level is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 28th February 2026 from 9.30 a.m to 11.30 a.m. at Kala Academy, Panaji. The last date for submission of entries is latest by 26th February 2026 which will be accepted at Kala Academy office at Panaji during office hours on working days.

The entry forms in the prescribed format, along with the rules/regulations of the competition will be available at Office of Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji on all working days and will also be available on our website www.kalaacademygoa.co.in

The competition will be held in 2 categories i.e Middle School (5th to 7th Std) and High School (8th to 10th Std).

The Kala Academy will provide only drawing paper to all the participants and the rest of the painting material is to be arranged by the participants. All the participants should submit their entry forms within the stipulated last date i.e 26th February 2026.

The Kala Academy has appealed to all the participating students to take note of the schedule of the competition and should report to the venue latest by 9.00 a.m. on the day of the competition.

Kala Academy Goa has declared the result of 50^th State Art Exhibition (Artist Category).  Accordingly, in the Painting and Graphic Print Section – Sachin Naik,  Prakash Babani Gaonkar and Sidhan G. Kundaikar, In Applied Art and Graphic Design Section– Sajjan Bhatcar, Rajtilak Naik and Vishwam Vilas Shetkar whereas in Sculpture section – Rohil Satodkar,  Raksha Naik and Navso K. Parwar, has been selected  for the award of  Rs. 20,000 /- each.

Shri. Hanuman Kambli, Smt. Rohini Kakode and Shri. Sainath Padte were on the panel of jury for this exhibition of competitive nature.

Altogether, 157 works were received in all the three sections, out of which 96 exhibits are selected for display.  The exhibition will be inaugurated at the hands of     Shri. Chandrakant Kavlekar, Hon’ble Chairman of Kala Academy Goa on 23^rd  February 2026 at 5.00 p.m at the Art Gallery, Kala  Academy, Panaji.

This exhibition will be on view for public from 24^th February to 1^st March 2026 between 10.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.

Kala Academy has congratulated all the prize winners. The prize distribution of this competition will be held at later stage. All are requested to make a note of the same and attend the inaugural function in large number.

The 11^th Tiatr ‘B’ Group Competition of Kala Academy will be held from 19^th February to 5^th March 2026 at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Panaji daily at 7.00 pm with the participation of 06 Tiatr groups.

The first show of the Tiatr “Chorak Dubav Charnneacho” will be presented by G.F. Production, Navelim-Salcete on 19^th February 2026 at 7.00 p.m, after the inauguration of the competition.

On 20^th February 2026 Tiatr “O Goynkara, Anik Kitlo Kall Tum Goynkar? will be presented by Machi Mogi-Santa-Cruz.

On 2^nd March 2026, Konkani Kala Kendr, Merces will stage their Tiatr “Welcome  To London”.

On 3^rd March 2026 tiatr “Khuim Paule Tum Cynthia?” will be presented by  Britona Dramatic Academy, Britona.

On 4^th March 2026, Tiatr “Sogle Tujem” will be presented by Fr. Agnelo Sports And Cultural Club, Chandor.

The concluding show, Tiatr “ Ek Istor -Tuji Ani Mhoji” will be staged by Aamar P. Sawanth Fan Clun, Margao on  5^th March 2026.

Tickets of Rs.100/- and also season passes of Rs. 600/- will be available at the ticket counter of Kala Academy.

Kala Academy has appealed to all Tiatr lovers to note the above schedule and witness the performances by attending in large number to make the competition a success.

The 50^th State Art Exhibition of Kala Academy in the Artist Category will be held between 20^th to 24^th February 2026 at the Art Gallery, Kala Academy Goa.

Entry forms along with the rules and regulations are available free of charge at the reception counter of Kala Academy’s Office, Campal, Panaji during office hours on all working days as well as on the Official website of Kala Academy i.e  www.kalaacademygoa.co.in

The entries along with the exhibits will be accepted on 16^th & 17^th February 2026 between 10:00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Art Gallery, Kala Academy Goa.

Entries after due date, time and incomplete entries will not be accepted. Kala Academy has appealed to all the interested Goan Artists to submit their entries along with the exhibits within the stipulated period.
