Result – 50th State Art Exhibition (Student Category)

Kala Academy Goa has declared the results of 50th State Art Exhibition (Student Category). Accordingly, Anish Abhijit Naik in the Painting and Graphic Print Section, Anushri Arjun Dhawaskar in Applied and Graphic design section and Chinmay G. Mest in Sculpture section respectively have been awarded the first prize. The panel of judges namely Shri. Sagar Naik Mule, Shri. Sandesh Naik & Shri. Deepak Gaonkar judged this exhibition of competitive nature.
In Painting and Graphic print section, Chinmay G. Mest and Lekhraj L. Surlakar secured second and third prize respectively, whereas in Applied Art and Graphic design section, Rohit D. Satodkar and Daelyn Fiona Fernandes have bagged second and secured third prize respectively. In sculpture section, Harish Ladu Kudaskar has been awarded second prize and Soham G. Juvekar been selected for third prize. Prize sponsored by Goa Hindu Association in memory of Artist Late Raoji V. Gaunekar has been secured by Chetan Prabhakar Gaude whereas Late Hanumanth B. Neugi Memorial prize awarded to Amisha Vijay Harmalkar.
Kala Academy is organizing the State Art Exhibition for the last 49 years. This year, altogether 238 works were received in all the three sections and a total of 90 works are selected for display in the exhibition.
The exhibition will be inaugurated at the hands of Shri. Chandrakant Kavlekar, Hon’ble Chairman of Kala Academy Goa on 11th March 2026 at 5.00 p.m at the Art Gallery, Kala Academy, Panaji.
This exhibition will be on view for public from 12th to 15th March 2026 between
10.00 a.m. and 7.00 p.m.
Kala Academy has congratulated all the prize winners. The prize distribution of this competition will be held at later stage. All are requested to make a note of the same and attend the inaugural function in large number.

The 42nd Edition of the Surashree Kesarbai Kerkar Sangeet Samaroha will be held on 28th February 2026 and 1st March 2026 The festival will be inaugurated at the hands of Dr. Pramod Sawant, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Goa, in the distinguished presence of Shri. Chandrakant Kavlekar, Hon’ble Chairman of Kala Academy Goa, Dr. Pravin Gaonkar, Vice-Chairman of Kala Academy Goa and Shri. Shankar B. Gaonkar, Member Secretary, Kala Academy Goa on Saturday, the 28th February 2026 at 5.00 p.m at Dinanath Mangeshkar Kala Mandir, Panaji.
The inaugural function will be followed by Classical Vocal Concert by young Goan talented vocalist Smt. Pallavi Patil, Goa. This session will be concluded by Classical Vocal Concert of Shri. Bhagyesh Marathe, Mumbai.
On Sunday, 1st March 2026, the 2nd day’s session will begin at 10.30 a.m with Classical Vocal Concert by Smt. Shakuntala Bharne, Goa which will be followed Odissi Dance Concert by Ms. Aarya Nande, Raigarh, Chasstigarh.
The 3rd session will begin with Instrumental Jugalbandi Concert by Goan talented artists Shri Kishore Teli (Pakhawaj) and Shri. Buddhesh Talkar (Tabla) at 4.30 p.m. which will be followed by Classical Vocal Concert by New Delhi based artist Smt. Meeta Pandit. The session will conclude by Classical Vocal Concert by Pt. Raghunandan Panshikar from Pune.
In this festival Rohidas Parab, Amar Mopkar, Shailesh Gaonkar, Mayank Bedekar, Uday Kulkarni, will provide Tabla Accompaniment whereas Harmonium Accompaniment will be provided by Subhash Fatarpekar, Dattaraj Surlakar, Dattaraj Mhalshi and Vasant Gaonkar. The Sarangi accompaniment will be provided by Wasim Khan.
All the concerts in the festival will be open to music lovers & general public. Some seats will be reserved. All the music lovers and connoisseurs are requested to take note of the above and also of the programme schedule and attend the music festival.

The Children Painting/Drawing Competition of Kala Academy at State Level is scheduled to be held on Saturday, 28th February 2026 from 9.30 a.m to 11.30 a.m. at Kala Academy, Panaji. The last date for submission of entries is latest by 26th February 2026 which will be accepted at Kala Academy office at Panaji during office hours on working days.
The entry forms in the prescribed format, along with the rules/regulations of the competition will be available at Office of Kala Academy, Campal, Panaji on all working days and will also be available on our website www.kalaacademygoa.co.in
The competition will be held in 2 categories i.e Middle School (5th to 7th Std) and High School (8th to 10th Std).
The Kala Academy will provide only drawing paper to all the participants and the rest of the painting material is to be arranged by the participants. All the participants should submit their entry forms within the stipulated last date i.e 26th February 2026.
The Kala Academy has appealed to all the participating students to take note of the schedule of the competition and should report to the venue latest by 9.00 a.m. on the day of the competition.
