The 29th edition of the prestigious ‘Nupur’ – Classical Dance Festival jointly organized by Kala Academy Goa and West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur will be held on 27th, 28th & 29th March, 2026  with the courtesy of Shree Mahalasa Saunsthan, Mardol in the Temple premises of Shree Mahalasa Devasthan, Mardol- Goa with the participation of national as well as international repute artists in the field of Classical Dance.

The festival will be inaugurated on Friday, 27th March 2026 at 8.15 p.m, in the presence of Shri. Chandrakant Kavlekar, Hon’ble Chairman, Kala Academy, Padmashree Vinayak Khedekar, Shri. Govind Gaude, M.L.A, Shri. Vivek Naik, Director, Directorate of Art & Culture, Govt. of Goa, Panaji and Shri. Premanand Kamat, President of Shree Mahalasa Saunsthan at the aforesaid venue.

All the artists will perform with live accompaniment.

Kala Academy has invited top ranking artists of the country in various dance forms besides Goan artists of repute to perform in this festival. After the inaugural function on Friday, the 27th March 2026, at 8.30 p.m Kuchipudi dance (Duet Performance) will be presented by Dr. Vasanth Kiran and Vaishnavi Mukundan, Bengaluru.  The first day’s programme will conclude with Bharatanatyam dance(Group Performance) by students of faculty of Indian Music & Dance, Kala Academy

On Saturday, the 28th March 2026, at 7.00 p.m, Kathak dance (Group performance) will be presented by students of Faculty of Indian Music & Dance,  Kala Academy. This will be followed by Mohiniyattam (Solo) by Divya Warier from Mumbai.

On the concluding day i.e. on Sunday, the 29th March 2026,  at 8.30 p.m, Bharatanatyam Dance (Group Performance) will be presented by Prarthana Kaushik Kala Nilayam, School of Art, Goa at 8.30 p.m. The festival will conclude with Kathak (Solo) by Durga Arya from Kolkata.

Kala Academy have appealed the dance lovers, connoisseurs and students to attend the festival in large numbers. The programmes are open to all.
